A Repurposed Antique Sewing Table

February 23, 2011

As I have blogged before being “Green” doesn’t necessarily mean spending gobs of money on new product.  Sometimes all it takes is a stroll in your neighborhood, and a keen eye to see things in a different light.

Gretchen Hadden an interior designer in the state of Kansas is always on the look out.  She turned an unused antique sewing table into a phenomenal, beautiful sink. This striking sink is now the focal point of the bathroom and the talk of the neighborhood.

I bet there are pieces in your home right now that could be repurposed into more usable items.  I personally have an old bedroom set that is banged up but in otherwise good condition. If professionally painted it could last for years to come.  My inexpensive baker’s rack that is collecting junk in my kitchen could simply be placed in the garage and used as a potter’s bench. Your mind is the limit.
